…Back to ‘Amhras’

Amhras‘- Laurels as of 31st July, 2017

So… It’s been almost a year to the day since I posted about potential updates and information related festivals and screenings of ‘Amhras‘. That didn’t happen, not on here at least (Facebook details below). A lot of other things did happen, namely: Life. Either way, I like to keep my word. Time aside, here’s what’s been happening…

Amhras‘ is a skin-of-your-teeth budget short film that has been making its way around the world and back. Starting with its inaugural screenings in LCFE (Limerick College of Further Education) and L.I.T. (Limerick Institute of technology) in April of 2016; ‘Amhras‘ made its festival premiere at the 2016 Galway Fringe. From there, this ambitious short film has received recognition worldwide in both online and classic silver-screen festivals. To date these include; Direct Monthly Online Film Festival (DMOFF), Los Angeles CineFest, IndustryBOOST, Hollywood Screenings Film Festival, 8th Underground Cinema Short Film Awards, Red Corner, Smedia Awards, 2nd Reykjavik Visions Film Festival, and AM Egypt Film Festival. ‘Amhras‘ was also screened at a Creative Engagement showcase event last October in the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.

To mark the one year anniversary of its debut at the Fringe, ‘Amhras‘ was made available to stream online via Vimeo. It can be found here and will remain online indefinitely. More posts and a page will also be added to seanwrenn.com with the film and related promotional material.

We are still in competition until early 2018, and if you need an extra taste, here are 3 teasers/trailers…
