Alpherat Films has been on hold for a while… almost 5 years to the day now. Even though projects have been filmed, some assembled, then deconstructed, some stored and some scraped, It’s never really gone away. It’s just been ticking over.
With the hours closing in on the 5th anniversary, there was no better time to bring you: ‘Begin’ – a short abstract piece. An experimental spacescape and a little nudge before Alpherat Films starts its journey. The full short will be released on the 27th of September, 2017. Until then, here is a very simple teaser trailer…
It was fun to focus on a dialogue-free piece and let the visuals do the talking. It seemed the only appropriate way to spark the overall project. I won’t get into the specifics (right now) of how ‘Begin’ was filmed, but it was a good combination of lens, light, and editing.
Alpherat Films was set up to facilitate documentaries, short narratives, and art-house films; While also being open to the potential of photography, writings, and other art forms.
