Over on Alpherat Films, there has been some news coming out on a great event which began back in mid-March at Dupont Underground in Washington DC. Solas Nua’s ‘Sights & Sounds of Ireland Today’ is an exhibition curated by Jackie Hoysted highlighting video artists in Ireland with their experimental and abstract works. Alpherat Films ‘Begin’ has been on display, as well as 15+ other films from more than 20 artists.

Initially running for just the Paddy’s Day weekend, it was then extended through March, and now, extended through till the end of April.

Current public exhibition hours are Mondays 11am-2pm and Tuesdays 5pm-8pm
